About USAIn recent years, urology practices across the country have consolidated to form very large groups in most metropolitan areas. At the same time, hundreds of additional urologists have opted to accept hospital employment. This trend has placed smaller, independent urology groups at an operational and strategic disadvantage to larger groups or hospital based urologists. It also leaves a perception that smaller urology groups must either adopt one of these options or risk remaining independent and hope for the best. Fortunately, there is another alternative that allows smaller urology groups to realize the benefits and services previously available to only the large "super groups" or hospital-based physicians. Urology Specialists of America (USA) is the first national urology group created specifically to help smaller practices. By consolidating into a single entity, urologists will be able to offer office-based ancillary services to their patients. USA will also offer benefits and suggestions designed to help practitioners operate in a more efficient and profitable manner. USA was developed by AKSM, a company founded by urologists for the benefit of urologists and their patients. Simply put, AKSM is the standard by which physician-owned and operated companies are measured. AKSM's committment to values, ethics and compliance is affirmed in it's Code of Conduct. |
